Potted Roses

Potted Roses

Potted roses are available all year round. They are very popular gifts and can be planted during the summer months outside of the bare root rose season. Once planted, they establish quickly in the garden, flowering in their first year – and for many years to come. Potted roses are delivered direct from David Austin’s nursery by courier. Each rose will arrive in a premium 6 litre pot, securely packed inside a sturdy, rose-print box. If watered adequately, potted roses can be kept in the same pot in which they are delivered for 6 weeks or more.

    Bears large clusters of rich glowing pink flowers, the outer petals eventually reflexing back to reveal an attractive button eye. The blooms are produced almost continuously from June right through to the first frosts and do not ball in the rain. They have a warm, spicy Old Rose fragrance. It forms an attractive, bushy shrub.     A striking variety with large, truly single flowers, which are a strong shade of coral-pink. They each have a large boss of yellow stamens with red anthers. It is one of the largest English Roses, forming a big, bushy shrub. Although repeat flowering, it also bears a superb crop of large orange hips through the winter. David Austin, 1996.

    Long buds open to semi-double flowers with prominent stamens and a sweet scent, reminiscent of violets. Initially rich purple-mauve, they fade to a startling slate blue. It flowers freely and almost continuously. Very healthy, rounded growth. James, 2007.

    Large, deeply cupped flowers, blending deep pink, magenta and red – the outer petals tending towards light purple, with an almost silvery quality.
