Potted Roses

Potted roses are available all year round. They are very popular gifts and can be planted during the summer months outside of the bare root rose season. Once planted, they establish quickly in the garden, flowering in their first year – and for many years to come. Potted roses are delivered direct from David Austin’s nursery by courier. Each rose will arrive in a premium 6 litre pot, securely packed inside a sturdy, rose-print box. If watered adequately, potted roses can be kept in the same pot in which they are delivered for 6 weeks or more.

    Pink-tinged buds open to mediumsized cups held in large clusters. Pale yellow, paling to white at the edges; each has a rich yellow eye. The fragrance is similar to green tea with aspects of lemon and honey. It forms a bushy, upright shrub.     Bears rich yellow flowers, which pale over time. Their formation is most pleasing, having a neat outer ring of petals enclosing an informal group of petals within. There is a strong, wonderfully rich fragrance with a hint of lemon, which becomes sweeter and stronger with age. It forms a bushy, nicely rounded shrub with arching branches and rather shiny foliage.     English Shrub Rose
    Tight buds open to rounded cups, with larger outer petals enclosing numerous smaller petals within. These open to clear mid pink, saucer-shaped rosettes; the outer petals forming a perfectly rounded rim. Initially, the fragrance is soft myrrh but as the flowers age, it becomes fruity with a distinct clove character. It forms a compact shrub with relatively upright, but quite bushy, growth. Named after the companion of the mythical hero, Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest. David Austin, 2010.
