Potted Roses

Potted roses are available all year round. They are very popular gifts and can be planted during the summer months outside of the bare root rose season. Once planted, they establish quickly in the garden, flowering in their first year – and for many years to come. Potted roses are delivered direct from David Austin’s nursery by courier. Each rose will arrive in a premium 6 litre pot, securely packed inside a sturdy, rose-print box. If watered adequately, potted roses can be kept in the same pot in which they are delivered for 6 weeks or more. Potted roses are £5 more than bare root roses.

    Similar to 'Comte de Chambord', but with even more perfect flowers. It bears large, shapely rosettes, each with a button eye at the centre, and has the same clear, mid pink colouring, paling a little with age. There is a strong, rich fragrance.     A most charming rose of true Old Rose character. Its light magenta, full-petalled flowers open flat and quartered. They have a strong and delicious Old Rose fragrance. It forms a strong, upright shrub with prickly stems and ample foliage - the leaves coming up to the flower in true Portland style. Moreau-Robert, 1860.

    Tight buds open to rounded cups, with larger outer petals enclosing numerous smaller petals within. These open to clear mid pink, saucer-shaped rosettes; the outer petals forming a perfectly rounded rim. Initially, the fragrance is soft myrrh but as the flowers age, it becomes fruity with a distinct clove character. It forms a compact shrub with relatively upright, but quite bushy, growth. Named after the companion of the mythical hero, Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest. David Austin, 2010.
