Potted Roses

Potted roses are available all year round. They are very popular gifts and can be planted during the summer months outside of the bare root rose season. Once planted, they establish quickly in the garden, flowering in their first year – and for many years to come. Potted roses are delivered direct from David Austin’s nursery by courier. Each rose will arrive in a premium 6 litre pot, securely packed inside a sturdy, rose-print box. If watered adequately, potted roses can be kept in the same pot in which they are delivered for 6 weeks or more.

    Soft orange-red buds open to medium-sized, cupped rosettes of perfect apricot colouring. They are produced almost continuously, are extremely robust and have a lovely medium strength Tea fragrance with leafy elements and dark fruit notes.     Bears rich yellow flowers, which pale over time. Their formation is most pleasing, having a neat outer ring of petals enclosing an informal group of petals within. There is a strong, wonderfully rich fragrance with a hint of lemon. It forms a bushy and nicely rounded head, with rather shiny foliage. David Austin, 2014.

    Pink-tinged buds open to reveal deep medium-sized cups held in large clusters. Pale yellow, paling to white at theedges, the delicate texture of the outer petals is such that the light runs through them, creating an almost luminous effect. The inner petals of each bloom frame a rich yellow eye. The fragrance is similar to green tea with aspects of lemon and honey. It forms a bushy, upright head of growth. David Austin, 2017.

    One of the finest of all the Old Roses. Pretty, cupped buds open to large, beautifully formed, quartered, slightly reflexing flowers, each with a central button eye. They are a soft glowing shade of pink, with a particularly strong and delicious Old Rose fragrance. It forms a vigorous shrub with thorny growth and attractive grey-green leaves. Booth, 1826.

    Similar to 'Comte de Chambord', but with even more perfect flowers. It bears large, shapely rosettes, each with a button eye at the centre, and has the same clear, mid pink colouring, paling a little with age. There is a strong, rich fragrance.
