Potted Roses

Potted roses are available all year round. They are very popular gifts and can be planted during the summer months outside of the bare root rose season. Once planted, they establish quickly in the garden, flowering in their first year – and for many years to come. Potted roses are delivered direct from David Austin’s nursery by courier. Each rose will arrive in a premium 6 litre pot, securely packed inside a sturdy, rose-print box. If watered adequately, potted roses can be kept in the same pot in which they are delivered for 6 weeks or more.

    Graceful semi-double flowers, of a pleasing apricot, are produced from the ground upwards, and are held in large heads of up to fifteen, nicely spaced blooms. They have a beautiful open-cup shape, loosely filled with about twenty petals, arranged around a cluster of golden stamens. It forms an extremely healthy shrub with tall, airy growth. Named after the much-loved piece of music by Ralph Vaughan Williams. David Austin, 2012.

    A very large shrub, producing mid pink, rosette blooms in both small and large sprays. The individual blooms have a simple beauty but are particularly impressive when viewed en masse. The foliage is fine and pointed, similar to that of a Wild Rose. It is very tough, reliable and healthy. Named after the Royal Horticultural Society’s Essex estate, which includes many English Roses.     A dwarf, perpetual flowering sport of the rambler ‘Félicité-Perpétue’. It produces large clusters of small, white pompon blooms, densely filled with petals. They have a pleasing fragrance. The vigorous, spreading growth forms a compact, rounded shrub with neat, glossy foliage. Henderson, 1879.

    One of the finest of all the Old Roses. Pretty, cupped buds open to large, beautifully formed, quartered, slightly reflexing flowers, each with a central button eye.
