Many of David Austin’s English Roses have won awards, both nationally and internationally, for their delicious fragrances and outstanding garden performance as shrubs and as climbers. A number of varieties are recipients of the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) Award of Garden Merit (AGM). The AGM awards are designed to help gardeners make informed choices about plants. Only plants meeting its high standards for outstanding quality and reliable garden performance bear the prestigious RHS stamp of approval. Other accolades include The Nation’s Favourite Rose for ‘Gertrude Jekyll‘ and The World’s Favourite Rose for ‘Graham Thomas’.

    One of the largest flowered English Roses, bearing rich yellow blooms in the form of giant, full-petalled cups. They are initially Tea scented but often develop a wonderful combination of Sauternes wine and strawberry.     Chalice-shaped blooms, filled with loosely arranged, deep orange petals. The surrounding outer petals are salmon-pink with golden-yellow undersides.     Produces large clusters of medium-sized, lightly double flowers which open wide. They are pure white, sometimes tinged with pink in late summer, and have a light, sweet fragrance. It forms a very bushy and branching head of growth, which is sturdy and well-shaped. The stems are smooth and slender, and it is clothed in glossy, light green, rather narrow foliage. 1958.

    A charming rose, bearing mediumlarge, flat apricot rosettes that are slightly quartered at the centre, the outer petals falling back a little and becoming paler. They have a rich Tea fragrance.     Lovely pure apricot flowers – darker in the middle, paler towards the edges. The unusual, narrow petals give this rose a very different appearance. They are very numerous, but neatly arranged into shallowly cupped blooms that slowly open to form perfect rosettes with the outer petals reflexed back.There is a warm Tea fragrance.     Distinctly quartered rosettes are produced on long, arching branches. They are light pink with a pretty apricot hue.
