  1. Harlow Carr

    Harlow Carr

    English Standard Rose
A tough and particularly healthy little rose that bears flowers of the most perfect formation - shallow cups of the purest rose pink. There is a strong, pure Old Rose fragrance that has been described as reminiscent of rose-based cosmetics. .

  2. Lady of Shalott

    Lady of Shalott

    English Standard Rose
The young buds are a rich orange-red. These open to form chalice-shaped blooms, filled with loosely arranged petals. Each petal has a salmon-pink upper side which contrasts beautifully with the attractive golden-yellow reverse. The chalice shape means that the undersides of the petals are clearly seen, revealing glimpses of the deeper apricot colour in the heart of the bloom. There is a pleasant, warm tea fragrance, with hints of spiced apple and cloves. This rose promises to be one of the most robust roses in our collection. It is highly resistant to disease and it will bloom with unusual continuity throughout the season. Indeed, it is an ideal rose for the inexperienced gardener.

  1. Claire Austin

    Claire Austin

    English Standard Rose
There is something a little special about white roses - they are all purity and light - and yet really good white roses are rare among English Roses and Hybrid Tea Roses alike. This is because white roses are very difficult to breed. 'Claire Austin' bears pleasingly cupped buds of a pale lemon shade which gradually open to form large, creamy white flowers of typical English Musk delicacy; their petals perfectly arranged in concentric circles, with a few more loosely arranged in the centre. They have a strong fragrance based on myrrh with dashes of meadowsweet, vanilla and heliotrope. Strong and particularly healthy. Undoubtedly one of our finest white roses to date. .

  2. Grace

    Grace

    English Standard Rose
An excellent variety with flowers of a lovely pure apricot - darker in the middle, paler towards the edges; a colour that blends well with other shades, especially dark reds and purples. The unusual, narrow petals give this rose a very different appearance. They are very numerous, but neatly arranged into shallowly cupped blooms that slowly open to form perfect rosettes with the outer petals reflexed back. There is a delicious, warm and sensuous fragrance. Very healthy and repeat flowers well. .
