WHAT IS A BARE ROOT ROSE? Bare root roses are rose plants delivered without foliage and soil and are traditionally planted in dormancy in the winter months (October-April). Not only are bare root roses cost-effective, particularly when planted in mass, they are also easy to handle and delivered in plastic-free packaging. Planting bare roots in the winter allows their roots to establish and produce bountiful blooms by the next flowering season.
