As part of our commitment to transparency with our customers, we want to be clear about its performance. While cherished for its unique character, this variety does not offer the same level of disease resistance or vigorous repeat-flowering found in our more modern introductions.
For this reason, we ask that you please think carefully before buying to ensure it is the right choice for your garden. We encourage you to explore our newer, more resilient varieties, which have been bred for exceptional all-round garden performance.

Bare root roses are cost-effective and best planted in winter for blooming the next season.
- Delivered dormant without soil or leaves (traditionally planted October–April).
- Cost-effective particularly for planting en masse, easy to handle, and plastic-free packaging.
- Roots establish during winter for strong blooms in spring.
During the summer months, we always aim to send your roses with a lovely mix of buds and blooms wherever possible. Please bear in mind that the stage and size of these will vary from variety to variety, and some plants may have been recently pruned or deadheaded to keep them looking their best. If your rose arrives without buds or blooms, there's no need to worry - we're right in the heart of the growing season, and there's plenty of time ahead for new blooms to appear.
