ECOMMERCE EXECUTIVE / CO-ORDINATOR

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an ambitious Ecommerce Executive / Co-ordinator to join our expanding digital team. The team is based at our Head Office, which sits alongside our nursery, rose gardens and plant centre in Shropshire – a short drive or train journey from Wolverhampton, Birmingham and a number of other neighbouring towns.

The role will be reporting into Richard Austin (Head of Marketing) and Jake Rainbow (eCommerce Manager). Depending on your skill set, there is also potential to work on wider digital areas.

eCommerce Support:

  • Merchandising and production: creating and maintaining products, categorisation, up-sells, cross-sells etc. and executing online campaigns
  • Content and asset management: own all content pages, guides, assets
  • Weekly reporting on products, sales, merchandising etc. and third-party tools – build out actionable optimisations from these insights to share with stakeholders
  • Maintain platform features and third-party technologies (e.g. feed management, search, shipping tools etc.)
  • Internal communication: stakeholder management, internal ticket resolution and management, reporting on progress etc.
  • Support agency management and coordination of activity including: development, paid media, GA, CRO, SEO
  • Support delivery of DAR functionality roadmap e.g. reviews & feedback; introduce and maintain product and merchant reviews and feedback programmes
  • Support UAT and sign off of all new features / functionality against acceptance criteria
  • Post deployment site stability testing carrying out end to end testing
  • Manage on-site incidents; raise and manage bugs via ticketing system through to resolved status

Digital Marketing:

  • Email marketing:
  • Support planning, building and sending regular emails
  • Support CRM and data optimisation
  • Support testing and delivery optimisation
  • Support setup of segmentation and automation
  • SEO support: keyword discovery, progress reporting, on-page optimisation, redirects etc.
  • Supporting feed maintenance and optimisation

Skills / Experience:

  • Working experience with Microsoft Office (particularly MS Excel)
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • User experience-focused individual
  • Knowledge or experience of working with SEO and other marketing channels
  • Magento, Shopify or similar CMS experience (desirable, not essential)

  • Friendly, confident and able to nurture good working relationships

  • Able to use initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn on the go
  • Enjoys a challenge ⎯ not put off by obstacles
  • Interest in outdoor life, gardening or nature (desirable)
