Social Media Manager

A role for an ambitious Community Manager / Social Media Manager to implement a newly formed social strategy across channels. A chance to be part of making this much loved global brand, and its fans, into an online community.

The role:

  • You will be executing a new social strategy across all major social channels.
  • Working opposite a content creator, your role will be to conceptualise how to increase engagement, in the form of beautiful moving image.
  • Content ideation and a chance to be strategic within the confines of this new over-arching strategy will be chief among your main priorities.
  • Publishing and responding to all key commentary across social.
  • Managing influencer relationships and outreach.
  • You will also, manage activity and metrics via Sprout Social and Tailwind.
  • Being responsible for implementing a variety of paid campaigns.

You will be:

  • An experienced Social Media / Community Manager.
  • Very comfortable with the big 3 platforms and be able to point to experience managing and delivering across them.
  • Interested and have some experience with Pinterest.
  • A brilliant wordsmith and used to crafting copy across social for brands.
  • Have a proven history and experience in making great content.
  • Experienced with influencer outreach.
  • Creative but be able to follow a fully formed social strategy.
  • Understanding of the luxury / premium landscape with some commercial experience working with one or several brands in the past.

Content Creator

Working on site at David Austin Roses, you will produce content ideas and shoot + edit across film and stills. Working to modernise how the brand is seen, experienced and engaged with across channels, your role will be to drive videos to use as a communication tool.

The role:

  • You will work into the Head of Marketing to understand and execute a wider content strategy.
  • Provide the marketing team with footage and stills that will drive engagement across new and existing platforms.
  • Handle the hardware required for content capture, from a calibration and maintenance perspective.
  • Be creative enough to drive reactive content ideas, from concept through to fulfillment, quickly and on message.
  • Have a deep understanding of where to use video to drive engagement, working with the social team to explore untapped channels.
  • If you can add some design to your work, then great, Adobe CS suite or After Effects skills would be a huge bonus.
  • You will be a trouble shooter of sorts, supporting the marketing operation with setup, lighting, audio support and editing on an adhoc basis.

Ideally, you will be:

  • A confident creative with ideas but, also, the technical nous to know how to get the shot, in as few takes as possible.
  • Have a strong commercial grasp of video editing software (open to which one!)
  • Understand hardware; its uses, when to use specific equipment, and engage with the on-going maintenance of said equipment.
  • Confident - You’ll be out there engaging with different people within the brand, putting them at ease, shooting them. You’ll be a natural with people.
  • Organised, you’re used to archiving and managing footage / stills with an eye on how they might be used in the future.
  • Passionate about owning how video can be a huge communication tool for David Austin Roses.

The role is suited to someone with some commercial experience, that can come from a sandwich course at University or equally out there in the industry. We’re open to your background and what you have shot and edited in the past; it could be weddings, automotive, ecommerce – you name it.

Primary purpose:

The role of the HR Advisor is a key within the HR Team. The Advisor will contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective support and advisory service to the business, providing first line contact on all people related topics.

Your day to day:

  • Recruitment:
     Advise managers on process and support with selection as required.
     Admin – advert listing and management of responses.
     Scheduling interviews in diaries and feedback as required.
     Link to agencies/recruiters.
  • New starter process:
     Contract of employment/offer paperwork.
     Admin – key contact between payroll/IT – joining the dots.
     References.
     Right to work and general compliance.
     Induction scheduling and day 1 readiness.
     Probation dates and monitoring to the 3-month mark and beyond.
  • Leaver process
     Admin – key contact between payroll/IT – joining the dots.
     Resignation acceptance letters.
     Exit interviews, data for analysis.
  • Contractual changes/amendments
     Admin – letters of change and reporting through to payroll/IT
     Family friendly leave.
     Flexible working requests.
  • Employee relations (ER)
     General Management queries – advice on scenarios and process.
     Absence management.
     Disciplinaries & grievances.
     Performance management.
  • Systems/Management Information & data analysis
     Maintain systems ensuring that data is accurate.
     Use of HR systems to extract data as required.
     Identification of trends and value add using data.
  • Policies & procedures
     Review and update policies in line with current legislation.
  • Business partner
      Partnering with Line Managers to provide support and advice, helping them to resolve issues in
      a timely, and appropriate manner underpinned by the DAR values and mission.
  • Strategy & annual calendar activities; contribute towards:

What you bring to the team

  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience within a similar role, and knowledgeable of UK employment legislation both in theory and practice.• Confident and persuasive with strong communication and relationship building capabilities.

Primary purpose:

As a Customer Services Advisor you will support customers who contact David Austin Roses through a variety of customer contact channels, including Phone. Email, Live-Chat and Social Media. You will provide expert advice together with supporting customers who wish to make a purchase or who have an enquiry.

We are currently looking for people to work a mixture of hours, including evenings and weekends.

The role:

  • Provide expert advice
    Provide information and advice relating to products, growing conditions, etc.
  • Support sales
    Support customers wishing to make a purchase
    Provide information about additional products e.g. food, tools
    Take payments
    Arrange refunds where appropriate
