What you need to know: 

  • Bookings available up to 6 people, including children. 
  • Tickets are not needed for visitors under the age of 5.
  • We ask that you arrive within 30 minutes of your time slot and leave promptly at the end of your allotted time to provide a more enjoyable and less crowded experience for all visitors.
  • Tables for our Restaurant and Tea Room are available on a first come first served basis within the allotted time slot.
  • Each attendee will be required to show their ticket on arrival.

What you need to know

Please keep dogs on leads

Our furry friends, with wagging tails and wet noses are welcome in our outdoor spaces. However, please keep them on a lead at all times.

Wear suitable footwear

We recommend wearing suitable footwear, as some surfaces can be uneven.


Free parking is available on-site, in walking distance to our Rose Gardens and Plant Centre.

3 Hour Time Slot

To keep the plant centre from overcrowding we kindly ask that you keep an eye on your entry time for your 3 hour time slot to keep it an enjoyable experience for all visitors.

Our Rose Gardens and Plant Centre are situated together on the Shropshire border in Albrighton. Brown tourist signs will provide directions from Junction 3 of the M54, from Wolverhampton on the A41 or from Shifnal on the A464. The entrance to the Plant Centre is on Old Worcester Road, immediately off Bowling Green Lane.

Visitor FAQ's

Why do I need to book?

To help maintain a more enjoyable experience we have introduced staggered entries and timed ticketing slots for all visitors. Please ensure you adhere to the entry and exit times shown on your booking to ensure we can provide a great visit for all the visitors to the gardens.

Do children need a ticket?

All visitors, including children over 5 years old must have a pre-booked ticket.

Will I need to print my tickets?

Each visitor will be required to show their ticket on arrival. Please have these ready on your phone or on a print-out where they will be scanned at the kiosk in the carpark. If you are arriving in seperate cars, please ensure everyone has been shared their tickets prior to arrival.

I have an afternoon tea voucher or would like to purchase one will I be able to use it?

Whilst we are not currently taking any new or re-arranged bookings for Afternoon Tea, all existing vouchers can be redeemed against food and drink purchased at both our Restaurant and Tea Room, as well as in our Plant Centre.

Can I cancel/ amend my booking?

You’re fully booked. Will you be releasing more tickets?

Tickets are currently limited to allow visitors to enjoy our spaces safely. We are unable to provide a waiting list, however availability will be updated regularly on our website so we recommend checking back often as space may become available.

Are the David Austin Rose Gardens and Plant Centre wheelchair and pushchair friendly?

We aim to provide a great experience and work hard to make our site as accessible for everyone as possible.

  • Our outdoor and indoor spaces are both suitable for wheelchair and pushchairs.
  • We have toilets available with wheelchair access and baby changing facilities.
  • Accessible parking spaces are available, please display your Blue Badge clearly on arrival to our car park.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome.
  • Unfortunately we are unable to offer use of our wheelchairs or hire out wheelchairs onsite.

Can you cater to specific dietary requirements?

We offer a whole range of freshly prepared food at both our Restaurant and Tea Room, and cater for vegetarian and vegan options. If you have any specific dietary requirements or an allergy please speak to a member of the team upon arrival to our Restaurant or Tea Room.

We are, however card payments are preferable.
