Liam Beddall | Head RosarianLiam Beddall is Head Rosarian at David Austin® and leads the Professional Trade Services team, supporting garden designers, landscapers and trade professionals across the UK. With years of experience in roses and companion planting, he helps create planting schemes that showcase roses beautifully alongside carefully chosen companion plants.
Passionate about encouraging the use of roses in gardens of all sizes, Liam works closely with clients to provide practical, tailored advice. Known for his hands-on approach and clear communication, he continues the tradition of quality and care that defines David Austin®, helping gardens flourish and ensuring these roses bring lasting beauty for generations to come.
Richard Stubbs | Senior Rose ConsultantRichard has been with David Austin® for over 30 years, bringing a depth of experience that is rare and invaluable. For nearly a decade, he served as Head Gardener, overseeing the care and development of the renowned rose gardens at our Shropshire nursery. Nathan Critchlow | Rose AdvisorNathan has grown English roses for many years and knows each variety well, understanding their individual habits and needs. Before joining the team, he spent several years leading landscape maintenance teams across the country. The role gave him valuable hands-on experience in caring for gardens of all shapes and sizes and a lasting understanding of what helps plants thrive.
He has a real talent for companion planting, creating combinations that feel natural and balanced. Nathan’s eye for form, texture and colour brings a quiet harmony to every design. Consultancy
Our trade team brings together over 50 years of experience working with roses in a wide range of settings. We are here to offer thoughtful, personalised advice whether you are planning a formal rose garden, a naturalistic border, or a large-scale public scheme. From variety selection to planting combinations and layout, we are happy to help. We can also advise on companion planting, helping you to choose plants that will not only complement your roses in colour and form but also support their health and longevity.
Garden Design Support
We also offer a complimentary rose garden and border design service tailored to your space and style. Simply share your garden dimensions, preferred varieties or colour schemes, and we will create a bespoke plan to help you get the best from your planting.

Year-Round Availability
Bare root roses are available from November to April while potted roses can be delivered year-round by overnight courier Tuesday to Friday.
For orders of 20 or more potted roses please contact us for delivery estimates.
Flexible Trade Ordering
We offer trade pricing with a low minimum order of just five roses whether potted or bare root. You are welcome to mix varieties giving you greater freedom to tailor your planting to each project.
A Collection of Over 120 Varieties
Our trade range includes more than 120 roses from English shrub and climbers to ground cover roses. We also offer trade discounts on the wider David Austin® bare root collection.
Our Guarantee
We take great care in selecting and preparing every rose. If a rose arrives damaged or fails to grow, we will replace it free of charge. Our five-year guarantee is our way of ensuring you can plant with complete confidence.
Rose Garden Design Service
Creating a beautiful rose garden is possible for every space, no matter its size or style. With our extensive range of English Roses, renowned for their distinctive forms, enchanting fragrances and varied growth habits, the possibilities are truly endless. Our experienced team of rose specialists is here to help you design the perfect rose garden or border free of charge. From selecting the right varieties to choosing their ideal placement, we will guide you every step of the way to ensure your roses flourish.
While we focus exclusively on rose gardens and borders, we do not provide full garden design services. For wider planting advice beyond roses, we recommend consulting a local garden designer or reaching out to the Society of Garden Designers for expert guidance.
To create your bespoke rose garden, please send us your garden dimensions, photos and any preferred colour schemes or rose varieties.
