Bears flat, quartered, crimson-pink blooms, each with many quilled petals surrounding a green eye and yellow stamens. There is some repeat-flowering, often with a good crop of flowers in early autumn. A vigorous rambler; it has few thorns and dark, glossy foliage. Barbier, 1869.
