Covid-19 Visitor Guidelines

To offer a safe and enjoyable experience we have a number of Covid-19 safety measures in place. Please review these below when planning your day at the David Austin Rose Gardens and Plant Centre. To prevent the spread of Covid-19 we are continuing to wear masks in our indoor spaces and respect social distancing throughout. We ask that you support this decision and help to protect both our visitors and employees by following the guidelines set below.


Bookings are no longer required to visit our Plant Centre. If you have an existing reservation you can continue to visit as planned or at an alternative time if required. 

Covid-19 Safety Measures

Face coverings are to be worn inside

Please ensure a face covering is worn in all of our indoor spaces. Visitors under the age of 11 are exempt.

Respect social distancing

Please respect social distancing of 1 metre (3ft) - that's an average garden spade - throughout our Rose Gardens and Plant Centre.

Be wise and sanitise

Kindly help us to protect yourself and our other visitors by using the hand sanitiser provided at our sanitising stations.


What you need to know

Please keep dogs on leads

Our furry friends, with wagging tails and wet noses are welcome in our outdoor spaces. However, please keep them on a lead at all times.

Wear suitable footwear

We recommend wearing suitable footwear, as some surfaces can be uneven.

Parking

Free parking is available on-site, in walking distance to our Rose Gardens and Plant Centre.

Table service only

Our Restaurant and Tea Room will be operating on a first come, first served basis.

Our experienced team of Rose Experts will be on hand to give advice and help with your selection in our outdoor spaces.


Tickets & Kiosk

Each visitor will be required to show their ticket on arrival prior to entry to the car park. Please have these ready on your phone or on a printout where they will be scanned at the kiosk in the car park.

Arrive promptly

We ask that you arrive within 30 minutes of your time slot starting. After this time your ticket may be reallocated.

Leave promptly

Please leave promptly at the end of your time slot. The numbers visiting our gardens are closely monitored to ensure a safe experience for everyone.

DIRECTIONS
Our Rose Gardens and Plant Centre are situated together on the Shropshire border in Albrighton. Brown tourist signs will provide directions from Junction 3 of the M54, from Wolverhampton on the A41 or from Shifnal on the A464. The entrance to the Plant Centre is on Old Worcester Road, immediately off Bowling Green Lane.

What safety measures have you put in place?

We've introduced a wide range of new measures to make sure that the safety, health and wellbeing of all visitors and our team remains top priority. Please familiarise yourself with these ahead of visiting us.

Here’s our commitment to you:  

  • We’re following the Covid-19 government safety advice for all visitors and staff to achieve the highest standards.
  • We have new operating procedures, cleaning schedules and one-way systems to help manage social distancing.  
  • We’ve installed protective screens to provide safe separations in areas that need it.
  • You’ll see staff wearing personal protective equipment so they can work safely.
  • We are contactless and cashless.

  • Check in using the NHS Track and Trace app on arrival.

Are the David Austin Rose Gardens and Plant Centre wheelchair and pushchair friendly?

We aim to provide a great experience and work hard to make our site as accessible for everyone as possible.

  • Our outdoor and indoor spaces are both suitable for wheelchair and pushchairs.
  • We have toilets available with wheelchair access and baby changing facilities.
  • Accessible parking spaces are available, please display your Blue Badge clearly on arrival to our car park.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome.
  • Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we are unable to offer use of our wheelchairs or hire out wheelchairs onsite.

Can you cater to specific dietary requirements?

We offer a whole range of freshly prepared food at both our Restaurant and Tea Room, and cater for vegetarian and vegan options. If you have any specific dietary requirements or an allergy please speak to a member of the team upon arrival to our Restaurant or Tea Room.  

Are you accepting cash?

No, card payments only, and we ask that if dining with us you pay at your table.
