          Description
Soft orange-red buds open to medium-sized, cupped rosettes of perfect apricot colouring. They are extremely robust and have a lovely fruity Tea scent. Very healthy; it matures into an attractive, rounded, bushy shrub with few thorns. Named to mark the centenary of Roald Dahl’s birth, with the approval of his wife, Liccy Dahl – the colouring reminiscent of the eponymous peach in James and the Giant Peach. Sales of this rose raised £100,000 for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.

          Behind the name
This variety was named with the approval of Roald Dahl's wife, Felicity Dahl, to highlight Roald's love of gardening. The colour of the rose immediately brought to mind the eponymous peach in James and the Giant Peach, one of Roald Dahl's best-loved novels. Throughout 2016, there were celebrations for Roald Dahl 100 including the launch of this new rose named in his honour.

Part of my first David Austin purchase. It has grown so much since I bought it a few weeks ago. Can not wait until it blooms. Glad I bought it potted.

This was my very first purchase and the one that started me getting into DA roses. Flowered nonstop until Autumn, really healthy with full sun, very low maintenance, and really gorgeous flowers that transition from apricot to beige.

First rose ever bought, wanted one that didn’t get too big. This has slightly arched stems and loads of flowers and has been very healthy.
